Katy Prairie Promenaders had their 41st Annual Rice Harvest Festival Dance October 1, 2011. Fred Goynes and Dean Crowell were calling and Marilyn Waguespack was cuing. The barbeque dinner was excellent, the desserts plentiful and the dancing terrific. I believe everyone attending had a good time. Donna & Wayne, Carolyn & Paul, Mike & Beth, Darrell & Susan, Judy & Tom and George & Garon were there.

We are in need of a new location

Our current dance hall, the Sugar Land Community Center, is undergoing renovation. We will not be able to dance there after September 30. We’ve spoken to a couple of churches, but so far, neither have committed. If you know of a facility in the Sugar Land or southwest Metro Houston area (Richmond, Missouri City, Stafford), please send us an e-mail at bbbbinfo@comcast.net.

Our regular club dances between 3 and 6 squares, but for special dances, we can have 15 or more squares. We would also like to have access to kitchen facilities, if possible, for refreshments.

Ice Cream Social and Sock Hop was a great time. Elvis was there, cuing the rounds. Mike Bramlett was our caller. There was plenty of home made ice cream to be enjoyed by all.
